Ascendant Transitions

Hypnotherapy for life changes, loss, and the spaces in between

Many people come to this space because something catastrophic just happened, and many others come because something inside them has been holding too much for too long.

Whether the unimaginable has taken place, or your life looks “fine” on the outside — something inside has shifted and it deserves to be acknowledged, heard and held.

We live in a culture that doesn’t know what to do with grief, even when it has a clear label, like a death, a diagnosis, or a dramatic loss. Part of society's discomfort is not knowing what to label  as "grief" - and so a lot of people end up feeling like their loss, their life transition, the huge shift taking place inside them doesn't get to be identified as grief, and they end up suffering in silence., feeling rushed to "be better" and "get back to life."

But everything has changed, and "better" and "normal" can feel impossibly far away.

Grief and loss show up in many forms:

• the end of a relationship

• death of an important person or pet

• a career that no longer fits

• becoming a parent — or realizing you won’t
• a move, an illness, a change in identity
• the life you imagined, quietly slipping away
• carrying pain that was never fully yours to begin with

• there is even grief and loss in getting what we wanted - there is grief in change

When these losses aren’t acknowledged, they don’t disappear - they settle into the body.

Life transitions don't just happen in the mind - they happen in the nervous system

When something meaningful changes or ends, the body often responds before we have words:

• anxiety or restlessness
• heaviness or fatigue
• difficulty sleeping
• emotional numbness
• feeling disconnected from yourself or your future

This isn’t weakness. It’s your system - your body, mind and soul - responding to uncertainty, loss, and change.

And when grief has nowhere to go, the body holds it.

If you’re here, it’s likely because something in you knows: it’s time to stop carrying this alone.
You’re in the right place.

Grief isn’t something to “get through” or resolve on a timeline

It isn’t a problem to fix.

What helps is having a place where your experience can be:

• acknowledged
• witnessed
• felt safely
• integrated at your own pace

When grief is ignored, it tightens.

When it's given space, it softens.

This work is about creating room inside your system, so you can move forward without leaving parts of yourself behind.

How hypnotherapy can help

Hypnotherapy offers a gentle way to work in the deeper layers of the body and subconscious patterns, where grief, fear, and identity shifts are often held.

In a relaxed, focused state, we can begin to:

  • calm and regulate the nervous system

  • process emotions without reliving or re-traumatizing the past

  • soften and release what no longer needs to be carried (guilt, shame, blame, fear, regret, etc)

  • build internal safety during uncertainty and change

  • reconnect with meaning, direction, and self-trust

This is about creating the conditions where you can integrate what has happened — and begin to orient toward what comes next, at your own pace.

Together, we work in a way that respects where you’ve been, honours what you’re carrying, and supports your system as it finds its next steady place.

My Approach

Life transitions aren’t problems to solve. They are thresholds to be crossed.

My approach is grounded, gentle, and deeply respectful of the pace you need when something meaningful is changing — whether that change was chosen, sudden, or imposed.

Rather than pushing for insight or “moving on,” we work in a way that allows space for what’s real, while slowly building the internal support needed to move forward.

Here’s what that looks like:

We Begin with Safety

Before any deeper work happens, your nervous system needs to feel safe enough to soften.

We start by settling the body, orienting to the present moment, and creating internal and external conditions that support regulation — even if that safety feels very subtle at first.

We Honour Your Pace and Timing

There is no timeline for grief.
No right way to move through change. Your nervous system leads the way, and we follow what’s ready — moment by moment. Some sessions feel quiet and reflective. Others bring clarity, relief, or new perspective. All of it counts.

We Create Space for What You’re Carrying

Grief, fear, and uncertainty often stay locked inside because there hasn’t been a place for them to land.

Together, we create space where your experience can be acknowledged — without judgment, urgency, or expectation.

You don’t need to explain it perfectly.
Your system already knows what it’s holding.

We Integrate the Shifts into Everyday Life

The goal is to help you feel steadier, more resourced, and more yourself in real life — in your relationships, decisions, and day-to-day moments.

Over time, this creates a felt sense of direction and trust, even when the path ahead isn’t fully clear.

We Work with the Subconscious and the Body

Through gentle hypnosis, imagery, and inner inquiry, we work in the deeper layers to help soften old defenses, release what no longer needs to be carried, and restore a sense of internal support.

This work is always collaborative and trauma-informed.

You Are Always in Control

You remain aware and in control throughout our work together.

I’m not here to fix you or tell you how to grieve. I guide the process, hold the space, and support you as you find your way forward.

The Result?

Clients often describe this work as:

  • grounding

  • relieving

  • deeply validating

  • and surprisingly gentle

Not because life suddenly becomes easy — but because they no longer have to carry everything alone.

You don’t have to have the right words.

You don’t have to be “ready” in any perfect way.

If something in this page felt familiar — if it named something you’ve been carrying — that’s enough.

You’re welcome to book a session when you feel ready.

And if you’d like to talk first, I offer a free 20-minute discovery call — a gentle space to ask questions, feel into the work, and see if it feels like a good fit.

There is no pressure here.

Only an open door.

Whenever you’re ready, you’re welcome to step through it.
